For more than 70 years, Saint Vincent’s has always welcomed the blind, deaf and physically-challenged people who sought our help. Since its founding, SVC has left a powerful legacy which is well known and well respected throughout the country.
Here are a few examples of some typical student and patient costs at Saint Vincent:
- $2: one meal per day, per student
- $3-12: clinic consultation
- $130: day school tuition for one year
- $1.50 to $225: custom brace or prosthetic
- $300: boarding student and resident costs for one month
While these costs may seem low when compared to similar prices in the United States, they are almost impossible for many people. A stark reality is that in the country of Haiti, few disabled people are able to pay for the educational and medical services they require. Furthermore, the actual cost of the services we provide is much higher than the prices we charge, so we depend heavily on the generosity of others to help us provide quality care.
In addition to the support we receive from general donations, visionary donors are also needed to help make a long-lasting impact. To learn more about how you can make a difference, please inquire about our Tuition Gap (TGP) and Planned Giving (PGP) Programs. Naming opportunities at the Centre are also available.
Please consider joining us in our mission by making a one-time or regular gift on behalf of your household, business or organization. If you have questions or would like more information, please send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org.

In a memorandum of understanding with the Saint Vincent Centre’s Board of Directors, the Children’s Medical Mission of Haiti (a 501(c)(3) charitable organization) has agreed to function as the fiscal agent for SVC. All donations received for the benefit of SVC are tax-deductible, and gift acknowledgments will be provided by CMMH. Funds sent to SVC by CMMH go directly to the Centre’s bank account in Port-au-Prince and are used to pay salaries, buy food, electricity, and cover other operating expenses. Both CMMH and the SVC Board of Directors receive regular financial reports from the Centre detailing funds received and payments made.
